Version: Material Maker 1.7
Gaussian blur that stays inside each Fill region.
Connect any image to Input and the Fill output of a pattern node (Bricks, Hull Planks, Fill…) to Fill. Each brick, plank or tile is blurred on its own: pixels from neighbouring regions are excluded from the average, so colours never bleed across the joints. Useful for softening Fill to Gradient / Fill to Random Color results, per-plank noise and other per-tile effects.
Separable two-pass blur (X then Y) through buffers, same as the standard Gaussian Blur.
Inputs:
- Input: image to blur
- Fill: fill data that defines the regions
- Strength map: optional per-pixel multiplier for Sigma
Parameters:
- Grid size: buffer resolution
- Sigma: blur strength in pixels (sampling window is +/-50 px)
- Tolerance: how much two Fill values may differ and still count as the same region
- 32 bits: use 32-bit buffers
Note: the region test compares Fill bounding boxes, so for skewed shapes the blur may slightly cross a slanted edge.
